  Get the silver savings card, as they have good specials. Their best asset is their cooked meals and grinders (subs). They also have a full deli, a full service bakery which specializes in cakes (birthday cakes do require advance order for terms of customization), a full butcher shop (which is Kosher certified), and a seafood section for those who like fish, lobster, crabs, and other shellfish. I cannot forget they sell fish and chips. You can also order giant subs for catering needs, as well as pizza (advance ordering is strongly recommended in order to meet your specific needs).

  A well maintained store suited for today's family. Big Y has the feel of an upscale grocery store. Their bakery is a bit better than other grocery stores in the area. That being said, their meat and produce are sub par. I can't tell you how disappointing it is to bite into an overpriced, shiny apple and find it's way past ripe. Looks aren't everything. Their prices are higher than other local grocery stores. And I can't understand why one needs a coin when we already have a discount card. I can remember when paying top price for a birthday cake meant getting two layers. I do shop here for main items, like milk, bread, and a Boston cream doughnut now and then. Shop smart and demand better. Don't let a shiny appearance fool you.
